We are looking for a System Engineer to help build, maintain & troubleshoot our production infrastructure. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure & ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance & security.

Responsibilities

Manage & monitor all installed systems, services & infrastructure on Amazon AWS;
Install, configure, test & maintain operating systems, load balancers, application software & system management tools;
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems & infrastructure availability;
Monitor & test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions & work with developers to implement those fixes;
Maintain security, backup & redundancy strategies;
Develop system architecture & system design documentation;
Write & maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency & lower the human intervention time on any tasks;
Talk with vendors & other IT personnel for problem resolution;

Communicate with other project personnel & senior executives.

Απαιτούμενα προσόντα:

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject;
Work experience in installing, configuring & troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments;
Solid experience in the administration & performance tuning of application stacks & database systems (e.g. Apache, NGINX, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Neo4j, ElasticSearch or ELK stack, WebDAV);
Solid Cloud experience, preferably in AWS;
Experience with monitoring systems;
Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef) will be considered a plus;

Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
