We are looking to strengthen our Backend team of Software Engineers with a PHP developer responsible for managing the data interchange between the server, third-party services & smartphone devices. His primary focus will be the setup & configuration of communication with third party APIs & WebDAV servers.

Responsibilities

Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices;
Build reusable code & libraries for future use;
Create & maintain software documentation;
Optimization of the platform for maximum speed & scalability;
Manage communication with third party APIs (Google, WebDAV, etc.);
Management of hosting environment, including database administration & scaling a platform to support load changes;
Integration of multiple data sources & databases into one system;

Data migration & transformation.

Απαιτούμενα προσόντα:

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject;
Proficient knowledge of PHP language;
Proficient knowledge of at least one of the following back-end programming language/framework: Ruby on Rails, Node.js;
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git;
A solid understanding of how web applications work, including security & best development practices;
Adequate knowledge of database systems, Object Oriented Programming & web application development;
Experience working on Heroku or Amazon Web Services (EC2, S3) will be considered a major plus;
Experience with NoSQL database systems or WebDAV servers will also be considered a plus;
Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of deadlines;

Ability to learn rapidly & master diverse web technologies & techniques.
